Maite's diptych offers us a journey into the interior of the human soul. It is an invitation to get to know ourselves, to stop admiring the superficial and to focus on the personal work we must undertake to take care of ourselves.

The images invoke tranquillity and the awareness that the most beautiful things grow out of self-love. The richness of details and textures teaches us how meticulous and fruitful it is to contemplate oneself, to see and experience oneself from the most everyday and natural.

Note on the author:

The tiny books, the collection of notebooks and books show an orderly and curious personality. Objects say she is a dreamer, but of scripted dreams described in detail; they also say that perhaps in another life she would enjoy being a botanist, given her great observational skills and attraction to nature and, of course, the craft of drawing.
