On paper, she likes to take bold actions, letting the spots and lines interact – the decision of sticking to only one specific image simply does not appeal to her. Sandra loves to produce mistakes, ugly spots, irregularities, something that will awake the curiosity of the viewer. Her art is based on her experiences and mixed with the way the viewer perceives it, brings enjoyment to the senses.

Nota sobre la autora

La sensación de ceñirse a una imagen concreta no le seduce. Le gusta bastante más actuar sobre el papel, dejar que las manchas y las líneas interactúen. Que se produzcan fallos, manchas feas, irregularidades, algo que despierte la curiosidad en el lector de la obra. El arte disfruta de las sensaciones, de lo que vive el artista y de la manera en que lo percibe el espectador.

Illustrations

Sandra puts in the center of her illustrations a girl, the curious protagonist, which is contemplating and interacting with nature, allowing shapes to invade and surprise her. She is patient and curious. She enjoys the closeness of the moon and flowers, towards which she stretches proudly her hand.

In the author's opinion, when we are in nature, we are at home. In the form of the earth and the sky, it caresses us. Our body, the only place we inhabit, is exposed to the brightness of the stars and sleeps on a pillow of leaves.

Ilustraciones

Para Sandra el centro de la obra es una protagonista contemplando e interactuando con la naturaleza. La chica deja que las formas la invadan y sorprendan. Es paciente y curiosa. Le gusta disfrutar de la cercanía de la luna y las flores, por eso tiende la mano ufana. 

Según ella estamos en casa cuando se transforma en la naturaleza y la acarician desde la tierra y el cielo porque el único sitio que habitamos es nuestro cuerpo, que está expuesto al brillo de las estrellas y duerme en una almohada de hojas.
